Abstract

Expression of Concern:  The Publisher and Editors of Health SA Gesondheid have issued this Expression of Concern regarding the article "Patient perceptions of nurses’ cultural competence in public sector hospitals in Gauteng", authored by Disebo R. Maboko, Sue Armstrong and Daleen Casteleijn. Concerns have been raised about the potential unauthorised use of copyrighted material in the published article, specifically the model “The Process of Cultural Competence in the Delivery of Healthcare” presented in Figure 1. An investigation into these concerns is currently underway in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Readers are advised to interpret the content of this article with caution pending the outcome of the investigation.
